This class once again encourages abstinence, but also states the statistic that 50% of teens choose to be sexually active. Even if your child isn’t dating yet, their friends might be and with safe, thorough education your child can be a positive influence and resource to hopefully encourage their friends from making life altering mistakes; therefore all forms of birth control are mentioned with an emphasis on male condoms, giving detailed instruction on proper use with G rated drawings. General contraception myths are also addressed in order to hopefully prevent unplanned pregnancies. The goal of this class is to educate our youth and stop misinformation which often leads to “if only I had known”. This class is also helpful for girls that choose birth control for managing their period symptoms.
